Girl Scouts of the USA, which celebrates its 100th anniversary in March 2012, is rolling out an all-new collection of badges aimed at giving girls the skills they need to become leaders now and in the future.  Click here to read ABC's full story or Click here to listen to NPR's conversation with Alisha Niehaus of GSUSA.

Girls can still earn popular long-time badges such as Cook, Naturalist, and Athlete, but now they also have badges such as Product Designer, Digital Movie Maker, Customer Loyalty, even the Science of Happiness and "Make your Own" at every level of Girl Scouting to give girls the chance to explore an interest of their choosing.

The revamped badge portfolio, called The Girl's Guide to Girl Scouting, also complements GSUSA's Leadership Journeys, which were tailored to age-specific girl interests in an effort to gradually help girls discover how to be leaders not just in their own lives, but also in the world around them.
